How many other people will be on my guided tour?
We limit the group size to 6 people to ensure you receive a personal, bespoke experience.
Will the guide speak English?
Your guide and hosts are from the UK and speak English and French.
Which châteaux will I visit?
As we’re in the heart of the Loire Valley we’re surrounded by a wide choice of châteaux. You will visit some of the renowned landmark châteaux such as Villandry, Azay le Rideau and Chenonceau, as well as some lesser known gems of the Loire Valley.
What type of vehicle will we travel in?
Depending on group size, you will travel in either a luxury minibus or a 7-seater luxury car.
Where will the meeting point be at the start of the tour?
We will collect you from Poitiers, or Tours TGV, or airports on the first morning. Tours is just over an hour from Paris Montparnasse. We are on hand if you need any help making your arrangements for travel to Tours or Poitiers.
What extras will I have to pay for?
All entrance fees, meals and drinks are included in the tour price. The only extras not included in the tour price are any souvenirs and wine you might choose to purchase from the producers you’ll visit.
What meals and drinks are included?
Breakfast, lunch and dinner are provided every day. For breakfast there is a range of options, freshly prepared; lunches will be in restaurants and include drinks; dinner will be either in a restaurant or in the manoir and include 3 courses with wine, beer or soft drinks followed by coffee and digestive.
Can we cater for special dietary needs?
Yes, we can accommodate all dietary requirements. Please let us know in plenty of time so that we can speak to the restaurants you’ll be visiting, in advance of your trip.
How to Get Here By Air
Ryanair operate flights from Stansted to Poitiers which is 45 minutes drive to Maison de la Roseraie. Alternatively, there are flights from various airports / airlines to Paris Charles du Gaulle and Paris Orly. Take a taxi, metro or local train to Paris Montparnasse to catch the TGV to Poitiers (journey time 1hr 20 mins). EasyJet fly from London Gatwick to Nantes which is a 2 hour drive.
How to Get Here By Sea
There are various crossings available. Crossings from Portsmouth to Caen / St Malo / Le Havre, Plymouth to Roscoff and Dover to Calais are popular routes. Driving times vary from 3hrs 15min - 3hrs 30min from Caen, Le Havre and St Malo, Roscoff 4hrs 45min, Calais 5hrs 30min.

How To Get Here By Eurostar
St Pancras to Paris in 2hrs 30min then taxi, metro or local train to Paris Montparnasse which is a 1hr 20min journey to Poitiers. If you’re arriving by air or train, please contact us for a quote for private transfers from Poitiers. For our fully inclusive tour guests, transfers from Poitiers are included in the price of your booking.
